Hypnotherapy for Pain Relief helps to address the link between the body and mind. Most people dealing with long term pain also suffer from stress and anxiety which in turn worsens the pain.
Chronic pain can arise from a variety of sources—such as injury, illness, surgery, or conditions like diabetes, IBS, or fibromyalgia, and managing this pain can be complicated, and sometimes a complex challenge that requires a variety of approaches.
Hypnotherapy offers an effective approach to help lessen the pain, reduce its impact, improve emotional well-being, and enhance independence.
Can Hypnotherapy Cure Pain?
Hypnotherapy can be part of your approach to help improve how you manage your pain.
Whilst under hypnosis you focus on relaxation, this temporarily tunes out the conscious part of your mind allowing the hypnotherapist to make suggestions to encourage pain relief.
Rather than convincing you the pain does not exist, hypnotherapy aims to manage fear and anxiety relating to your pain. It also helps to reduce stress and relax the nervous system so that it becomes less reactive to pain.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
Some people will see results after a few sessions, for others it may require more. On average, most people benefit from 6 to 8 sessions.
I recommend listening to my audio recordings daily throughout your treatment to reinforce the therapy and get the best results.
