Hypnotherapy for Phobias communicates with the subconscious, it aims to change the way you feel and behave towards your phobia or fear. Irrational fears and phobias occur when the brain’s survival response is triggered by something harmless, causing anxiety symptoms like a racing heart or sweating, even when there’s no real danger.
Your phobia or fear may have started when you experienced a trauma or it could be a response you have learned from someone else. If you have anxiety, depression or suffer with stress, these can feed into, and further intensify your response.
Can Hypnotherapy Cure Phobias?
Yes, both phobias and fears can be treated, and hypnotherapy is a very helpful tool in this process.
Hypnotherapy communicates with your subconscious and aims to change the way you feel and behave towards your phobia or fear. If there was an event that triggered the phobia or fear, hypnosis will help to remember what triggered it.
Techniques can then be used to change your response to the phobia or fear, allowing your brain to stop seeing the trigger as a threat. Being able to face your phobia or fear whilst remaining calm, helps empower you to put the phobia or fear into perspective, and regain control.
How Many Sessions Do I Need?
Typically, 4 sessions are sufficient to treat simple phobias and fears. However, the exact number of sessions you will need, depends on the severity of your phobia or fear.
I recommend listening to my audio recordings daily throughout your treatment to reinforce the therapy and get the best results.
